Are you someone, or do you care for someone who loves Martial Arts but never thought Martial Arts could be something they could do themselves?
Would you like more confidence in your abilities?
Would you like someone in your corner outside of your immediate support group, who will help you push yourself and your boundaries?
Would you like to feel stronger and more able to navigate social and/or physical experience?
Martial Arts training has so many peripheral benefits, too many to mention. But training in Martial Arts helps everyone – no matter your background – become stronger, healthier, more confident, assertive and co-ordinated.
Over the years we have worked with many individuals from many different walks of life, including people diagnosed with Autism, Vision Impairment, PTSD, Cerebral Palsy, Depression and more – and Martial Arts training certainly helps.
If you have NDIS funding for Community Inclusion or even Personal Training, you can use these funds for Martial Arts training!

We specifically work with adults and with children over the age of 13 years.
I have an acute visual impairment and with the support of the NDIS program I wanted to find a school that could teach me self-defence through Kung Fu whilst recognising and understanding my personal challenges. Learning Kung Fu has been a lifetime pursuit for me. Rick Spain has been patient and understanding of my condition and in turn has given me the confidence and ability to learn and progress through Red Boat Kung Fu school. I am now learning a combination of Kung Fu, Brazilian Jujitsu and boxing.
A remarkable opportunity at a remarkable school.

Peter met Rick & Amy from Red Boat Kung Fu in Redfern about 3 years ago & decided he wanted to train in the gym.
Being born with Cerebral Palsy means it isn’t as easy as just signing up & start training. After discussions with Peter, Rick tailored a one on one training program which covers all aspects of Peters needs & ability whilst achieving the best results for him.
There has been a huge change in Peters fitness level and balance but also his confidence & self esteem.
Training at Red Boat Kung Fu is the highlight of Peters week. He has made many great friends who are so welcoming & supportive.
Peter & his family can not thank Rick & Amy enough and highly with out doubt recommend Red Boat Kung Fu Redfern.
Initially we talk about your goals, assess your current level of fitness and agree on a plan for your progression. You will help us determine what weaknesses you would like to improve upon and we will look respectfully at your abilities so we can best determine how to work optimally with you, communicate with you and enhance your strengths.
You may choose one on one private sessions, or if you wish to train with a friend or friends we can accommodate up to 6 people per semi-private training session.
Light casual training gear is acceptable. As you progress you will eventually require a traditional uniform.
Towel and a water bottle.
16 oz gloves and other protective equipment will be a requirement as you progress.
