FIRST CLASSES FOR THE YEAR AND FREE SAUSAGE SIZZLE TOMORROW!

 

The first class is at 9am tomorrow – Fitness and Conditioning with Frances – then the 10am Wing Chun class with Sifu and for all who have trained there is a FREE sausage sizzle to top it off!!

Friends, family, random people you meet on your way in… are all welcome!!! No gi, all in mufti tomorrow.

Welcome back guys!!!

Next week all classes are back on as per the time table. So Sifu will be in for all of his classes, Mayur is keen to kick off the Monday 7:15pm class, Vadim is all up for the Friday 6:30pm class and all BJJ classes are on as of Sunday (will confirm Thursday night’s class, but Sunday and Thursday 12:15 classes are on).

FIRST CLASS FOR 2019 THIS SATURDAY!

 

Happy New Year everyone!

We are hope you are having an awesome break. This Saturday at 10am is the first class for the year. We’re still in holiday mode so no gi, just comfortable training gear and why not bring a friend? There’ll be a BBQ after training too!

KIDS CLASS TIME CHANGE! END OF YEAR GRADING AND PARTY THIS SATURDAY!

Dear parents,

Kids class is on for 2 more Saturdays this year. THIS Saturday, kids class will start at 9am as there is an adults grading on that will run well over typical class time. NEXT Saturday, kids class will be back to 11am start and will be the last kids class for the year. Well done to all the kids who graded and to those who participated/supported their training partners.

Adults grading this Saturday starts at 10:15!! Be early!! If you’re not grading, get in early as well! Your support means a lot to those grading. If you’re up for doing some sparring rounds gear up and jump in.

End of year party will start at approximately 12:30 at the Abbott Hotel in Waterloo. There is a cover charge of $20 per person. That covers food for the day and we have a muso booked too.

There will be a raffle!! First prize is a sparring/home training kit which includes 3in1 carry/training bag, focus mitts, skipping rope 16oz gloves, fingerless sparring gloves and shin/instep protectors. Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10.

Lastly, remember to bring some gold coin to throw in the tip jar for the bar staff at the end of the day. They really look after us very well and we do get quite rowdy!! 🙂

TRAINING TONIGHT

 

Hey guys,

Sifu’s back from Melbourne, keen to do a class tonight. We’ll be going through the dummy sets up til grading. Tonight will be set one, tomorrow set 2, Wednesday set 3 and so on until grading. We will also be working on forms. Remember forms account for 50% of your grading assessment!

KIDS CLASSES BACK ON TOMORROW, TONIGHT’S THEME WITH VADIM

Reminder to parents that the kids classes start up again tomorrow at 11am! Fees can be taken during the class so unless you’re bringing in a new child then feel free to get your kids on the mat straight away and ready to train.

Tonight’s 6:30pm Wing Chun class with Vadim is all about trapping hands and cross arm sparring drills.

Tonight’s Classes with Sifu

We have just over 8 weeks to go until the biggest grading of the year! So Tuesday 545 will be dedicated to belt prepping and stretching. Kicking conditioning will still be a part of it but also technical for your level change and sparring.

KIDS CLASS ON TOMORROW! 4% MEMBERSHIP FEE INCREASE FOR ADULTS. NO CLASSES MONDAY. JOHN WILL SEMINAR 7TH OCT.

All classes are on as per usual tomorrow: 9am Fitness and Conditioning, 10am Wing Chun, 11am Kids Kung Fu.

Kids classes will resume on Saturday 20th October.

Monday we are closed for the public holiday. If you have access you can come in to train.

As of next month fees are increasing by 4%. We have tried to absorb rent increases as much as possible but this is something we will have to do on an annual basis, we appreciate your support! Kids membership prices have already been updated this year so will not be affected.

Monthly meberships are now $155 per month, 12 Block Passes are $228 and casual classes are $25 per class. (Concessioned memberships will vary but still be only 4%)

Dates to remember:

Spartan Stream One: Saturday 6th October 12noon $199

John Will BJJ Seminar: Sunday 7th October 9:30am $90

Spartan Stream Two: Sunday 14th October 10:30am $199

Kids Classes resume: Saturday 20th October 11am $100 per term (can use Active Kids Voucher)

MEET AT MANIAX AT 1:45 ON SUNDAY, KIDS CLASS BACK TO NORMAL TIME TOMORROW & THEME FOR 6:30 CLASS TONIGHT

Kids class starts at the usual time tomorrow of 11am. Thank you everyone for your co-operation!!

Tonight’s class with Vadim at 6:30pm will work on head movement, slipping, bobing and weaving against strikes and cross arm sparring drills… see you there!!!

On Sunday the plan is to meet at Maniax at 75 Mary Street, St Peters at 1:45. We’re booked in at 2pm for 2hrs of axe throwing. It’s $55 per head. There’s 8 of us booked in but we have room for up to 15. So if you’re keen to come there’s room!! Want more info? Visit their site www.maniax.com.au
