CHARITY DRIVE

THIS WEEKEND RUSSELL IS TRAINING FOR 24HRS TO RAISE AWARENESS & FUNDS FOR BLACK DOG INSTITUTE.

The campaign coined “Give it 24” is to raise awareness for suicide prevention. In Russell’s words:

“It is my intention to train for 24 hours. Now I wish to illustrate two very important aspects: one, that it will be a very tough and emotionally draining 24 hours; two, I will not be able to do it without a support team. People making the decision to take their life can get through those horrible moments when all seems lost. It will be tough and it will be emotionally draining, but they can work through it, if they decide to ‘tough’ it out and if they have some desperately needed support.”

If you would like to show your support, come down from Saturday morning onward. So far they have raised over $4,000 so very impressive!
