Hey guys and girls!
We had a great time away, we recharged, refreshed and are keen to move ahead.
Our next Beginner’s Course starts this coming Tuesday (18th April) and will be running both during the day 11:15am-12noon and in the evening 7:15-8pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So spread the word! It’s a great way to get started especially if you haven’t trained in martial arts before but would like to, or if you haven’t trained in martial arts for many years and would like to get into it again.
We have had a lot of feedback about travel times to the Kwoon during the day, on how it’s been difficult to get the right amount of time for your lunch break to make it in to train. So we are trialling reducing the lunch classes to 45 minutes. Lunch classes will start at 12:15pm as usual, but finish at 1pm. And like any other class, you can stick around after class has finished to do your own training. We hope that this will ease the pressure on a lot of you and look forward to your feedback.
Before we left on our holiday, the lovely Stacey Kouros from Stacey Kouros Design came in to do an assessment on the Kwoon to give us some direction in painting/decorating. I’m excited! The Kwoon is going to look great once we’re finished, and we’re asking you for help in doing so. On the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd April we will be prepping and painting the school and are looking for volunteers! So if you can make it in to help for any period of time over that weekend please put your name down at the desk or email me at info@redboatkungfu.com stating the day and times that you can be of assistance.
On Sunday 30th April Sifu will be providing a workshop on Advanced Stick Fighting, details on the content will follow shortly, but the start time will be after BJJ at 10:30 and will run for 3 hrs.
Lastly, the Mid-Season grading will be on Saturday 13th May, so stay focused, train hard, train smart and have fun.
Cheers,
Amy
