OUR FULL TIMETABLE FOR WING CHUN KUNG FU, BJJ, KIDS KUNG FU, FITNESS & CONDITIONING

Red Boat Kung Fu has specialised in training adults in self defence and martial arts in Sydney (both men and women) since it was established in 1986 in Surry Hills (then known as the Wing Chun Kung Fu Organisation). We then moved to Redfern 30 years later in late 2016. We remain primarily an adult’s school with one children’s kung fu class per week and 25 adults classes.

We are a Wing Chun Kung Fu school, with traditional values, ours being “Family, Honour and Loyalty”.

BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) was introduced to our system over 15 years ago and we spend 3 classes per week on this discipline. In a Kung Fu class we may do some BJJ techniques, but you will find that Wing Chun and BJJ have very similar principles so the transitions are quite natural.

Wing Chun Kung Fu is our primary discipline and our curriculum and culture reflect that. It is a fantastic system of Kung Fu and Self Defence and is suitable for women and men alike. All classes cater to all levels of experience. If you are a complete beginner in Martial Arts or Wing Chun Kung Fu we have a 4 week introductory program, which includes 8 classes over the 4 weeks. All classes are scheduled for 1 hour except for the Beginner’s Wing Chun classes which are 45 minutes.
